You will have to register with a password. We would suggest that you also update your profile with your profession and interests. The Canadian Club of Chicago is starting a Running Club. The details are outlined below. Please express your interest and sign up for this great activity by sending an email to: Alain Villeneuve, at alain2003us@yahoo.com, phone 1-312-404-1569). If we have at least 4-5 people then we have a group and we will go from there. Purpose and Benefits: Training for the half marathon or other distances. We will provide tips and classes for beginners to experts. We will have a yahoo.com group where people can post emails and coordinate events. Costs: No cost, you will only have to pay for the races you sign up for online. We may want to design and offer running gear at some point. Times and Locations: We will normally run once each Saturday or Sunday morning on the lake shore. Meeting place most likely close to Navy Pier. But again, this depends on who will run and the weather. Normally we will coordinate each week, an email will be sent with time and place 1 or 2 days before the event. Please note: One of the problems with running groups is the pace of each runner. If you are slower, you are slowing down the group, if you are faster, you feel like you are not working hard enough. The goal is to meet up, wait for others at one or two mile marks, and then go take a coffee at a shop afterwards for social.
